Overview

Where the envelope
stops being cladding
and starts being
architecture.

A rainscreen facade is a drained and back-ventilated system hanging off a carrier rail, and it lives or dies on the setting out. Every cassette has a joint on all four sides, every joint is visible, and a 3mm cumulative error is a 30mm error by the far corner of the elevation.

The Leeds Bradford facade below runs six colours and two perforation patterns across a full elevation to a repeating set-out. That is not a cladding job — it is a panel schedule, a survey, a carrier system and a sequence, and then it is a cladding job.

Tray-formed aluminium or steel cassettes on a carrier rail, secret-fix, in any RAL or anodised finish.

Plank and interlocking

Horizontal and vertical plank systems for longer, quieter elevations.

Perforated and feature panels

Perforated, expanded and pressed panels used as screens, brise soleil and pattern-work.

Architectural metalwork

Fascias, soffits, copings, column casings, canopies and one-off flashings, folded to suit.
