Bexley has two quite different kinds of roofing work. Up by the river, in Erith, Belvedere and Crayford, there are industrial and logistics buildings with large profiled metal roofs, many of them old enough to have corroding sheets, leaking laps and rooflights that have gone opaque. We repair, overroof or strip and re-sheet them, with new twin skin or composite panel systems, rooflights and gutters.
In the residential south of the borough — Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Welling — the work is mostly pitched slate and tile re-roofs on houses and small commercial premises, and EPDM flat roofs on extensions, dormers and garages. We treat a house roof with the same discipline as a commercial one: properly detailed junctions and no roof left open overnight because the forecast looked fine.
